Black (Napolean) Dynamite
Hey, you guys see the trailer for that new movie "Black Dynamite" starring Michael Jai White?! It's been floating around the net for a few months now.
It's a parody of Blaxploitation movies from the 70's, but the way it's filmed it looks just like an old movie from back in the day! It looks mad funny!
You know what? We think that this movie is gonna be one of the funniest movies of the year! You know what else? We're preemptively letting you all know, 3 months in advanced, that if you're not careful in a few months you will be considered a complete douche because you like this movie.
Your friends will be tired of hearing about it, talking about it, and fake laughing at you and everyone elses imitation and impersionation of it very soon.
Why? Because if you like this movie too much, you'll probably become one of those people who walk around quoting it. And we watch a lot of movies at stately Fish And Spaghetti Manor and we can see that this is clearly about to be next years "Napolean Dynamite".
Not necessarily in terms of content or delivery, but in the sense that it will be quoted by everyone you know, maybe even by you, until you and/or your friends are ready to vomit.
In fact we here at Fish&Spaghetti already are already sick of this movie.
Trust us, you will be as sick of the quotes in this movie (and t-shirts, stickers and catch phrases) as you are of the quotes from "Half Baked", "Borat", "Super Bad" and all the other really funny movies that have come out over the years.
Congrats to the creators Scott Sanders and Byron Minns and the stars which include Tommy Davidson, Arsenio Hall, and other displaced Black entertainers.
The film was recently picked up by Sony Worldwide Acquisitions at the most recent Sundance Film Festival and is scheduled for limited nation wide release on October 16, 2009.
Don't get us wrong, we're still gonna see it. We're just letting you know that you've been warned though.
