Enthiran!
I know I'm late, but I'm slayed by this clip. It looks like a crappy Sci-Fi channel rip off of The Terminator, but it's apparently the Highest Grossing Film Ever in India.
Props to Harlem
I’m taking a break from watching Arrested Development to write this, because that’s how much I care about you, the reader. I feel so bad about your lack of readable content that I’m willing to tear myself away from the show that’s quite possibly the pinnacle of sitcom excellence. For you.
What’s really funny is how easily I could tie Arrested Development into this actual post. At the tip of fingers is a story that could be titled “I’ve Made a Huge Mistake.” But I don’t feel like writing about that right now. So instead I’m going to write about Harlem.

Monday Munchies - Tostitos Artisan Roasted Garlic & Black Bean
I'm a big fan of established brands premium lines.
I loved late and sorely missed Haagen Dazs' Reserve line. I was equally enamored with the M&M's Premium line.
So when I saw that Tostitos was introducing their Artisan Recipes, I was intrigued, specifically by their Roasted Garlic & Black Bean flavor.

Skip Serpico Sez - Iron & Wine is Awesome!
I’m vexed. I’m not going to go into detail but I will say that it’s got something to do with this. Suffice it to say, I need some music to mellow me out.
Well, nothing gets me chill like good ol’ Iron & Wine.

Scary Ass Mexicans
So Arizona's been in the press a lot lately because of the whole shooting of Congresswoman Gifford which has naturally thrust their stringent immigration policy back into the spotlight.
And for the record we at Fish & Spaghetti have nothing but the utmost respect for Mexican and Mexican-Americans and we aren't really fans of Arizona's immigration policy or crackdown on illegal immigrants and brown people in general.
That said, in pop culture there are some pretty prevalent images of scary ass Mexicans floating around. We don't know if it's enough to justify Arizona's bashing of La Raza, but we do know that these Mexicans scare the crap out of us.
Monday Munchies - Ben & Jerry's Snickerdoodle
Back in Vegas my roommate and I were complete ice cream junkies.
Whenever we'd go to the store we'd invariably leave with too much ice cream. In a place called Sin City, ice cream was our vice.
Of course she's still in Vegas and now I'm back in Baltimore. But our love for ice cream knows no boundaries. If I tried a new Ben & Jerry's flavor I'd text her and get her thoughts on it and she'd do the same to me.

Top 10 Albums of ‘10
I know, I know; everyone’s wondering what music I loved last year. I can’t tell you how many people have come up to me on the street and said “hey Skip, would it be possible for you to rundown what you thought the best releases of 2010 were?”
Under normal circumstances I wouldn’t entertain such obvious requests. But it’s a new year and I’ve decided that one of the ways I’m going to be a better person is by being better to everyone checking in on Fish & Spaghetti.
But be warned; once you move beyond this you’ll have intimate knowledge of what came out in 2010 that knocked my socks off. And there’s no coming back from that.

Fight The Power (Company)!
Ok, so I’m guessing most of you are familiar with how BGE put a serious cramp in my style last summer. I’d totally give you a recap, but really, you’re too lazy to click on a link to How I Got Violated By BGE ?
I mean really, c’mon. It’s a bloody link!
All caught up? Well I continued my silent protest of BGE. The only things that stayed plugged in 24/7 were the fridge, the stereo and the microwave. If I was charging the laptop or phone, I’d charge until it was 100% or until I was headed out and then I’d yank the cord from the wall like it was as leashed child headed too close to a rabid hobo.
But most importantly, I didn’t use my air conditioning. The entire summer.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that every day Skip Serpico’s Swinging Bachelor Pad felt as hot as the day depicted in Do The Right Thing.
And the heat was just one of the many parallels.

Preview - Shameless
Showtime decided that they wanted to pimp Fish & Spaghetti for some free promotion about their new show Shameless which premieres January 9th. Normally we here at F&S try to be above reproach when reviewing anything.
That said, given the harsh economic climate, we are completely open for business and bribery. And since Showtime was throwing in free popcorn and soda, it was a done deal.
The Moral Ambiguity of Music
See, I’ve sort of met someone. And she sort of has a boyfriend. And by “sort of “ I mean she’s in a 100% committed relationship.
Still we sort of click, which has me tempted to try to woo her. I mean if their relationship is built to last, my attempts at interfering shouldn’t mean anything, right? On the other hand, while I’ve never cheated on any girlfriend, I’ve definitely been the “other guy” and broken up my fair share of relationship. In fact I’ve spent the last few years working on mending my relationship karma.
So I’m torn. And as with any dilemma in my life, I turn to music for guidance.
Unfortunately I've found that songs dealing with the topic of cheating either make it sound like the worst thing imaginable or completely awesome.

Is that Don Cheadle?
It is!
Remembering - My Phone
Recently I dropped my phone and it broke in half. Like, it's barely operable. I can't see who's calling me, I can't text. I can't even see what time it is. In fact, I don't think it has a purpose other than to frustrate me by reminding me of what it used to be able do.

New Year's Resolutions
It's that time of year again; when people set themselves up for failure by creating unrealistic New Year's Resolutions.
But not us at Fish & Spaghetti. We are firmly grounded in reality and only made resolutions that we felt were feasible. And while I haven't actually narrowed mine down yet, I am willing with share my list with you.
