Monday Munchies - Tuscan Three Cheese Pretzel Crisps
As regular readers of F&S know, I'm a sucker for crunchy things. My favorite snacks are crunchy. I like hard shell tacos. I dig candy that crunches. I like crunch.
But I also love cheese. Cheese is one of my favorite things in the world. I like hard cheeses and soft cheeses. I wish there was a way to introduce cheese to pie or ice cream, so that I could just eat myself to death.
Naturally when I saw the Tuscan Three Cheese variety of Pretzel Crisps, I was down.
I'm a fan of pretzels in general because I'm a fan of salty. But I've found that pretzels tend to dry the mouth out, partially because of the salt. So the notion of a pretzel crisp really appealed to me.
Add three of my favorite cheese flavors, Romano, Asiago and Parmesan, and you've pretty much made my dream snack.
And the Tuscan Three Cheese Pretzel Crisps are a dream snack. First off, they're awesomely crunchy. Because they're "crisps" they've winnowed the pretzel down to it's best parts; the crunchy and salty exterior. Apparently the other stuff is superfluous, because I didn't miss a thing.
But Tuscan Three Cheese Pretzel Crisps aren't perfect the cheese flavor comes close to underwhelming. Everything tastes cheesy, it's just that the Asiago, Romano and Parmesan flavors sort of blend together and nothing stands out. I'm fan of those three flavors individually, so not being able to discern them was a tad disappointing. I mean it's still good, it's just not perfect.
That said, I'm a fan of the product. In fact Tuscan Three Cheese Pretzel Crisps are essentially my crunchy snack of choice for the moment. I highly recommend that you give them a try.

The cinnamon-sugar pretzel crisps are glorious. Like Cinnamon Toast Crunch with a pretzel-y texture.
ReplyDeleteAaron, first off I want to know how the cinnamon lobby sunk their claws into you. You're clearly a shill for anything cinnamon related.
ReplyDeleteAnd secondly, I'll have to try them out.
