Twitter Tuesday: Cold Hard Crash.

I think it's safe to say that I tweet more than anyone I know on Twitter...more than most people know. I tweet in my sleep, in the shower (which is bad when you don't have insurance on your phone), and even during sex.

The Best Show That You're Not Watching – Thief

As much as I love summer, it really puts a damper on the tv viewing. There's really nothing good to watch. And that's why I praise Quetzalcoatl for hulu.com because it's getting me a chance to catch up on old favorites.

And thus I present to you the short lived, award winning FX program Thief, which is the best show you probably didn't watch when it was on. And now thanks to hulu it's the best show that you're not watching, currently.

So apparently, thanks to you Fish Heads and the people who run the Black Weblog Awards our "nomination" has been upgraded to "Finalist" status. Which is cool.

Ok, I'm may not be the authority on grammar and or spelling but I'm pretty sure that if you make a song called "Google Me" that flops, then semi nude pictures of you accidentally leak onto the internet causing everyone who ignored your song to now begin to "Google" you, that is some serious irony. Right?

This economic downturn has finally hit home. Don't get me wrong, I've had to tighten my belt like everyone else, I know things are tough all over.

But I'm talking about the folding of publications. Obviously, you're reading this, thus I'm a writer. But what many of you may not know is that Skip Serpico is also a reader. More than that I'm a subscriber. And one of the magazines that I subscribe to folded earlier this year.

However nothing could prepare me for what I found in my mailbox last week.

Friday Face Off: (Don't Believe The Hype Edition) Drake vs. Asher Roth

Don’t believe the hype. Public Enemy told you that years ago. Still, every year we believe it don’t we? Every year some style, or person or album or event is going to come along and save hip hop or something, but does it ever? Not really. So let’s keep that ball of cynicism rolling and take a look at two dudes who have most recently been assigned the task of “saving” hip hop, Drake and Asher Roth.

Let’s examine these two guys in 3 categories to try and figure out which (if either) is actually worthy of the absurd amount of hype surrounding them.

Black (Napolean) Dynamite

Hey, you guys see the trailer for that new movie "Black Dynamite" starring Michael Jai White?! It's been floating around the net for a few months now.

It's a parody of Blaxploitation movies from the 70's, but the way it's filmed it looks just like an old movie from back in the day! It looks mad funny!

You know what? We think that this movie is gonna be one of the funniest movies of the year! You know what else? We're preemptively letting you all know, 3 months in advanced, that if you're not careful in a few months you will be considered a complete douche because you like this movie.
