Glorious Vulgarity!
So, in the last 24 hours I watched the entire fourth season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and in all honesty it was time well spent. Ok, it might not have been "well spent" but it was a truly enjoyable slew of hours.
The show is dumb funny! I'm tempted to use it as my litmus test for determining if people are "cool" or "not cool." Like seriously, I was laughing out loud a couple times every episode, which is rare for me when it comes to sitcoms. Usually shows are dumbed down for the audience, but this show just features dumb characters written really well. It's quite the juxtaposition.
And there were so many gems this season. Raccoon meat that's lousy with parasites. The return of Greenman. The gloryhole and the European attitude towards sexuality. The mystery of who pooped in the bed. Charlie and Mac getting jobs. The extreme home makeover. The Nightman Cometh.
For my money this show is right up there with 30 Rock and The Office. If I could I'd watch the entire season again.
But I can't, because the fickle gods of Hulu have taken the episodes down. So while it maybe sunny if Philadelphia, it's overcast in my heart.

That might be the most awesomest news I've ever heard.
ReplyDeleteI may not be as cool as I once thought. I've tried to get into this show, but I'm having a hard time. Maybe I caught a pair of bad episodes. Who knows? Anyway, I wanna be down with raccoon meat and poopy beds too. I think I'll try that link and hit you back.....
ReplyDeleteSo I checked out the FX site for some quality goodness, only to be disappointed; they've got eps from the second season.
ReplyDeleteSo that means no raccoon meat, for any of us.
