Wild Pitch Wednesday – The Scoop
Things at Stately Fish & Spaghetti Manor can get hectic. Pitches at thrown around with reckless abandon at such speeds that it's amazing no one's lost an eye yet. Seriously, it's a flurry of ideas.
Which leads us to our latest Wild Pitch. It's actually one that never made it too far. In fact it was decidedly vetoed by Jay1 who felt that Chet's rendition of "Crack a Bottle" was a better idea. And we all know how that turned out.
But let's not dwell on The Debacle, let's get to my idea.

Dear Jay-Z
So, I finally copped The Blueprint 3. It was what it was.
But that last track really stirred something inside of me. It stirred up something fierce. Fierce enough that I felt compelled to compose an open letter to Jay-Z.
Ah, I guess I can share it with y'all.

Over The Line...
It's been a very busy few weeks but Serena Williams' verbal undressing of a U.S. Open official (after calling a foot fault on her at the most crucial time of the match) and the public backlash that has followed warrants an official Fish And Spaghetti response.
More specifically, I wanted to address the comments made along the lines of those published by a 12 sandwich eating, M.J. D-riding, Kansas City based Journalist.

Skip's Emmy™ Hopes
Since the Emmy's are tonight I figured I'd offer up my thoughts on some of the televised awards. I'm a dude who watches plenty of tv and I'm actually a fan of quite a few of the nominated shows.
So prepare for the best blog post on the Emmy's that you've read all year!

The Best Show That You're Not Watching - Greek
I know, I know; I'm supposed to be a television snob. I'm the guy who wrote about the criminally slept on Thief and marks Brotherhood, Breaking Bad, Huff and The Wire as some of his favorite shows. So why would I be proclaiming ABC Family's Greek as one of "the best shows that you're not watching?" Because it's actually a really good show.
And I do realized the demographic that I'm write for, so I'll give you three reasons why you should be watching show.

Kanye
I don't really have any comment about Kanye and how he made a douche out of himself at the VMA's over the weekend defending the honor of his idol's wife, or how he looked like a tool when almost cried on Leno last night when he was asked about it.
I have no comment.

MTV VMA's...
The MTV Video Music Awards were on last night and (yawn) we watched them for you.
So the show starts with with Madonna pretending to be earnest about her relationship with Michael Jackson which is super awkward yet somewhat sweet, but generally lame as it's clear that she's reading a teleprompter.

Suckage.
Last week I brutally attacked by a mosquito. At least I think it was a mosquito, it might actually have been a school of mosquitoes. Or do mosquitoes travel in herds?
Anyway, it was painful. I was in agony. But I had to remind myself that there are things that suck worse than getting brutalized by a pride of mosquitoes. Here are three such things.

Wild Pitch Wednesday - Sexy Garage?
Ok, here's the plan; I'm writing this for the sole reason of trying to redeem the "Wild Pitch Wednesday" brand. Sure, the first time out is only referred to as "The Debacle" but there's no reason why a horrible misstep into a quagmire of misjudgment should taint an entire brand forever.
I'm going to follow the footsteps of O.J. Simpson, R. Kelly and Michael Jackson. Well, at least two thirds of them.

Remembering: 1055 Hillen's Pop Culture Bulletin Board
I don't really know of anyone who's a fan of gentrification. Sure, classing up a place might improve property values, but there's something to be said for homegrown ambiance. Of course living in Baltimore gentrification is just a part of everyday life.
Sadly I lost one of my minor joys to gentrification just a couple of months ago.

Kid's Clothes
Who knew that when we asked "What the hell ever happend to "Kid 'N' Play" just a few short days ago over here, that we would actually get an answer this soon.
We also couldn't have asked for a better answer either.

Twitter Tuesday: "Twusband and Twife?"
Sometimes on Twitter, two people connect out of similarities with one another, attraction, or maybe they just both happen to be up at 4am on Twitter talking to one another because the rest of the world is sleeping. Whatever the case may be, it’s usually a male and female. These people are called Twubby & Twife (Twitter Husband and Wife, get it?) Yes, I know it’s corny, but I don’t make the rules.
