Awkward Family Photos

Hey look, another picture site feature! Yeah, sorry, we been busy.

Anyway, this one is as good if not better than the others we've posted. Y'know, in retrospect, I wish this site was just a picture site. There's almost no work required, people would mostly submit the content and in some cases you can actually make money from it.

Like, This Picture Site Here got a book deal.

A book deal!

Tony Yayo - The Swine Flu (Mixtape)

Usually, I would never bother anyone with a Tony Yayo Mixtape, but I laughed so hard at this that I figured that I had to share it with y'all.

Seriously, no bullshit, this is an actual mixtape!

Download Here

I'm dying laughing over here at that album cover! Look at his space suit!

Donny Goines: The Breakfast Club

So while rap legends Method Man & Redman, Busta Ryhmes, Eminem and the ATL's own mixtape messiah DJ Drama were busy pushing their new albums in stores this week at a pay for play rate, up and coming New York artist Donny Goines decided to go another route and simply give away his new album for free!

Remembering: the Tucson Citizen

I was on Twitter Monday night and I was checking on the updates that I missed while I was at work. I'm not gonna front, most of it was garbage. But I saw that Swish, always quality on Twitter, posted one update that really piqued my interest.

Looks like my hometown paper is about to Die.

Anthropomorphic Awesomeness

I barely know where to begin with the complete and total awesomeness found in This Article.

But I do know that the third paragraph is possibly the greatest thing I've read all year.

Sweet Sacred Scrolls!

So I read this news story and it completely shook my foundation to it's very core. For those of you too lazy to click on the link, I'll summarize.

Basically it's saying that since the (inevitable) attack earlier in Connecticut people who own chimpanzees are trying to unload them on chimpanzee sanctuaries, which are now at capacity.

Malice of The Clipse On Parenting..

Yes parenting. Apparently when he's not rapping about how much coke he's slung, dude raises a family.

This is an interesting little short. I respect what he's doing and it would be really dope if more rappers did stuff like this.

Adventures In Banking...

So in an attempt to not leave my dudes here at FishAndSpaghetti hanging on the writing end of things, I decided to do what I do best and indulge in some fuckery, since I am on vacation and all. You know, the kind we all love and hate depending on how it effects our bottom line. And as you can see by the heading above today’s edition is sponsored by Bank of America, my local financial institute of choice.

So with no commercial interruptions I proudly present to you: Adventures In Banking.

So today I woke up and decided it might be in my best interest to do my banking now, even though my bills were paid up and I had healthy amount of cash on hand for the weekend. But what I encountered at window 3 when I got on line almost sent me into a tizzy, actually it did. The only difference this time though was instead of getting tight and upset. I laughed hysterically.

And here's why:

Friday Face-Off – Joe Budden vs Method Man

As we're sure everyone is aware, former psych patient Joe Budden and veteran actor Method Man are embroiled in some sort of a rap beef. It stems from's asinine attempt to bite Fish & Spaghetti's own April Madness/Spring Cleaning tournament.

Only instead of television domestic help, Vibe decided to focus on emcees and crown the Best Rapper Alive.

Real classy

True Stories: The Preakness Stakes

(By Pinky Ring)

Besides the worst junkies, the best heroin and a higher murder rate than most undeveloped countries- Baltimore has the Preakness Stakes. This weekend the Preakness will run, in MD like it does every third Saturday in May, at Pimlico racetrack in historic West Hell Baltimore.

I haven’t been to the Preakness or a racetrack in general, in about 5 years because I’ve moved on to better ways to worsen my gambling problem- or maybe I’m still scarred by my last race track experience.

Blame It...(Obama Remix)

Bub Bubs...

I don't know what this is. Do you? Please tell me.

Twitter Tuesday – People I'd Totally Follow

I'm still a fan of Twitter. Though I haven't been on in a few days, I still find it to be an excellent way to waste time on the internet. Because I mean, really, pseudo friendships are just so much easier to maintain than the real thing.

A Smidge of Ketchup – United States of Tara

Recently I had a mini Tara-thon that allowed me to wrap up the first season. And now having to seen it in it's entirety I can say that it's a damn fine show. It's really almost enough to make me want to get cable again. It's that good; it makes me want to spend money.

It's really remarkable how much emotion the second half of the season packed on. When Charmaine and Buck bond after Charmaine's "corrective" surgery it's touching. When Marshall attempts to consummate his crush you root for the kid because you're so invested in his fragile awkwardness. Diablo Cody could quite possibly be the shit, because this show has some mighty fine writing.

Can't Knock The Hustle...

Her name is Angie. I met her on Saturday.

As I drove past the U-Haul truck on Northern Parkway, about 3 blocks from York Road, I didn't know what to think.

Friday Face Off: Star Wars Fanboys vs Trekkies

They're like the Crips and the Bloods of Sci-Fi fandom. Their weapons of choice are light sabers and phasers. Both are the subject or ridicule and the butt of a myriad of jokes. Both are openly mocked and scorned. But now we at Fish & Spaghetti have taken it upon ourselves to determine which fanbase is geekier; Star Wars or Star Trek.

Those goose bumps you feel on your arm? It's just the latest edition of the Friday Face Off. So set your phaser on nerd, the Farce is strong with this one.

Nutty #19

Taking the bus is an adventure. On the bus I've witnessed many things. I've seen fights instigated and broken up. I've seen drunks hit on women. I've seen drunk deaf people sign conversations that I'm sure incorporated the hearing impaired equivalent of slurring. But Wednesday on the bus I encountered two things I'd never seen before, and I can't tell if I'm the better for it or emotionally scarred because of it.

Twitter Tuesday: The World's First "Twinterview" (Featuring Aliya S. King)

So, in an attempt to actually follow through with the some of the wacky ideas that come out of the Fish&Spaghetti lab, we present our first "Twinteview".

And who better to be the first subject of a "Twinterview" than the person who gave me my first big break into the writing business? (That's right, when I'm not busy overthinking the minutiae that determines why one fictional, television housekeeper is better than the other, I actually write for real publications that pay me actual money).

It's Aliya S. King!

A Dollop of Ketchup – 24

24 is great television. It might be one of the best "television shows" ever. Seriously. It's pure entertainment. It's doesn’t try to transcend the medium it just tried to entertain. It doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not. It's not art, it's a television show and a damn fine one.

Monday Pop Quiz

This video was posted because...

Eminem: "3 a.m."

Nas: "Hellmatic"

Yes, I know that the photoshop album cover is laughable and I don't even know what "Hellmatic" is supposed to mean (obviously it's a play on "Illmatic" but why "hell"?) but don't sleep, this is a collection of some really solid rare/unreleased Nas joints.

Friday Face-Off: Swine Flu vs Bird Flu

Everyone's talking about the Swine Flu, like it's the big shit around the pandemic world. People are scared of it. Schools are being closed. There's talk of actual borders being closed. Women are using it as an excuse for not going out with me. Apparently it's a big deal.

But really, how does the Swine Flu match up against Bird Flu?

Do you smell that? It smells like another Edition of The Friday Face-Off.
